Kaleido Star

I went to a friend’s BBQ for the 4th of July. While there, I bonded with a friend of hers over anime. She suggested Kaleido Star, so when I saw season one on sale at a used bookstore I decided to give it a try.

The main character, Sora, comes to America to join Kaleido Stage. Her arrival to the states is riddled with mishaps, but she eventually finds herself training with the troupe.

I’m only a few episodes in, but I can tell Ken has a big crush on Sora and it’s adorable.

But the character I really want to talk about is Sora’s “spirit guide”, Fool. Or as he says, he’s the spirit of the stage. But I suspect he may be a creeper.

But sometimes he is helpful and provides guidance…

Lol and with spirit guides sometimes it might take us a minute to catch up to what they’re trying to convey.

But usually, the character Fool is like this;

Sora’s upbeat personality and strong work ethic, remind me of great characters I’ve seen in shoujo anime. I really enjoy her and how nothing gets her down, or at least she bounces back quickly.
